On the 13th of November 2020 the minister of industry and innovation, Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir and the head of The Icelandic Centre for Research, Hallgrímur Jónasson, received the first copies of the book Commercial Grading of Timber. The book was translated from Swedish to Icelandic by Eiríkur Þorsteinsson, Trétækniráðgjöf slf. on behalf of the Erasmus+ project TreProX. The aim of the project is to increase knowledge on quality timber in Iceland, how to maintain the forest to obtain quality and how to process the timber so that it retains its‘ quality. The book is the first output from the project and will be used for courses on timber grading in Iceland.
